Le Marche is the best alternative to the overloaded Tuscany and
Emilia Romagna. Our region is located on the eastern side of central Italy,
between the Adriatic coast and the high Appennine mountains. Cartoceto is 14 km away from the sea (Fano) and 25
km from the mountains.
Most visitors who come to this region are looking for a taste
of the "real" Italy, unspoilt by mass tourism. If this is what you are looking for, you won't be disappointed.

When to go
While it can be hot between mid-July to mid-August, it is rarely overcrowded and up in the mountains the breezes are cooling.
May, June, September and October are the ideal months to tour the Marche if you can't take the heat; the landscape is clothed
in spring green or the first tints of autumn.
The months from February to April and November to December are those with most humidity. But even when days with grey mist
and rain can set in up in the mountains, the region doesn’t loose it’s charm and beauty and the beaches and landscapes
of the region invite you for a walk around.
It’s always worth to come into the Marche.
